THE INDUSTRY'S ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY

The 13th of December 2018 will see the 83rd British Allied Trades Federation Benevolent Society Ball take place at yhe St Johns Hotel, Solihull. The Benevolent Society Committee are highly delighted that Jewellery & Watch have once again agreed to be this year’s Headline Sponsor.

The Benevolent Society Ball attracts Guests from the Jewellery and Giftware trades and other member organisations of the British Allied Trades Federation. Over 400 trade guests attend this black-tie event with many companies using it as the perfect occasion to celebrate Christmas with staff and their colleagues in the trade.

The Benevolent Society Committee are once again intending to make this year’s Ball a very special and truly festive Christmas Party and rumours abound in the trade that a large gentleman with a white beard and a red suit may once again appear in person at the Ball.

The Committee are pleased to once again welcome the highly prestigious NAJ Jewellery Awards as an important part of their Charity Ball.

A charity auction will be conducted by David Doyle of Jewellery Brokers and Diamonds Please, the Society's Vice Chairman, and if last year’s event is anything to go by then over £35,000 could be raised on the evening for charity. Lots donated for the auction so far include lunch for 10 at The Birmingham Assay Office, sponsored by Lawrence Blunt, a fantastic full days clay pigeon shooting for 10 people followed by dinner, sponsored by T H March & Co, a full VIP Package to an NEC Venue donated by Paul Thandi and Kathryn James of the NEC Group. Also, a days sailing for 10 people on "Seaspray" an Ellen McArthur Trust sailing Boat.

More exciting Auction Lots, and further sponsors too, which currently include Hockley Mint, Charles Green, the NEC Group and RiverMounts, to name but a few, will be confirmed shortly.
