The JDA and The GA

The Giftware Association is excited to announce it has formed a partnership with the Jewellery Distributors Association. The JDA is a sister trade association, under the umbrella of the British Allied Trades Federation. It supports the activities of those who wholesale, distribute, import and export precious and fashion jewellery, accessories, watches and clocks and other items to the jewellery trade.

The partnership has come about because of a need to create a ‘new and improved’ JDA. The GA being a larger organisation is able to offer a much wider variety of benefits and services, though members of the Jewellery Distributors Association will still continue to have access to the benefits they previously enjoyed. Members of the JDA will also be able to take advantage of the Gift of the Year competition with their members’ products being exposed to the many leading trade buyers who act as judges for the 22 categories.

John Milligan, Chairman of the JDA, says the partnership will give members “a much wider variety of benefits and services” recognising the importance of the partnership he continues “Regarding new services, JDA members will benefit from increased negotiating power that a substantial organisation commands”

Sarah Ward says, “We are proud to partner with the JDA, and I’d like to reiterate the importance of these two associations coming together for the better of all its members, with added benefits and a greater voice for all”

The GA and the JDA will both be located in the heart of the jewellery quarter at Federation House and are both excited about this new collaboration, and new opportunities in the future for all their members.
