Oak & Ember was founded by two friends who share a passion for the outdoors, travel and great whisky.

For years, Ben and Lewis had made the annual trip to the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, exploring distilleries, discovering new drams and immersing themselves in the whisky world. It was during one of those trips, sat on a delayed plane waiting on the runway, that the conversation started — how could they become part of the whisky and outdoor industries they loved so much?

Starting a distillery was always the dream, but without the funding to make that happen, they began exploring other ways they could bring something new to the market. Combining Ben’s background in purchasing with Lewis’ experience as a graphic designer, they realised they had the right mix of commercial and creative skills to build a brand together.

From that conversation on the runway, Oak & Ember was born.

Today, Oak & Ember creates premium travel accessories and gifting products inspired by whisky, adventure and the experiences that bring people together.
