GREAT ARRAY OF INTERESTING NEW EXHIBITORS SIGN UP FOR SCOTLAND’S TRADE FAIR IN 10 DAYS

In just over 10 days time, Scotland’s Trade Fair will open its doors on 22 Jan at the SEC, Glasgow with a last minute flurry of new, exciting exhibitors. The quality and range of suppliers is particularly encouraging this year, with some very innovative and creative gifts, crafts, jewellery and textiles on display.

Just new to the Show are Angels Share Glass, who started at the Show many years ago in the Launch Gallery and now sell internationally, Yoshi Goods, ChunkiChilli, Searson Fox, Tempest Designs, Cotton & Grey, Saddler, Bradan Press, Silver Stag of Scotland, Your Tartan, and Lighthouse.

The pioneering Launch Gallery for young companies is strong with LollaMac, The Ink Balm, Caitlin Hegney Jewellery and Colourific recently joining the Show as new exhibitors.

Katrina Thomson from Captain’s Cabin in Ullapool, and one of the 2023 Nessies in the entertaining Nessies Den on 23 Jan at 1pm said: “Visiting the Scottish trade fair is vital to find product made in Scotland and there is no better showcase than this!”

Always keen to add value to the Show, the Talking Shop schedule of talks, panel discussions and masterclasses is full of expert content this year. With four talks by Digital Boost on Ecommerce, Dangers of Social Media, Content and Pinterest to visitor experience from VisitScotland; from how to work with influencers and lifestyle trends in retail marketing to the latest initiatives from retailers on the Loves Local campaign; from successful packaging ideas and shop design to a lively panel discussion on the DRS Scheme due to come in this year, there is something for everyone. No need to book tickets to the talks but get there early in order to gain a seat. A full schedule is available here: https://www.scotlandstradefairs.com/whats-on/talking-shop-seminar-timetable

The prestigious Best Product Awards, sponsored by the Giftware Association, will be judged on Sunday morning and winners on display thereafter. The judges - Sarah Gordon, from Luss General Store, Charmaine Fox from Caulders Garden Centres and Amy McCusker from Wee Box – are all retail experts and are looking forward to the extent of entries.

Show Director Mark Saunders adds: “After a difficult few years, Scotland’s Trade Fair is set to be the place for retailers to source, order, network and learn, to set them up for good year ahead. We look forward to welcoming everyone on 22 Jan.”
