Sue Ure Maison Wins European Product Design Award “Best in Show”

Ambit Collection stands out at Home InStyle in Hong Kong

UK  Independent ceramic design brand Sue Ure Maison has been awarded Best in Show at the 2025 European Product Design Awards™, following its showcase at the Home InStyle Trade Fair in Hong Kong. The award recognises the studio’s Ambit collection, porcelain tableware with its hallmark understated elegance and environmentally conscious production.

The Ambit range blends form and function with style. It features a quiet play of gloss and matt finishes, black and white porcelain, and a hand-applied fine coloured line in five options. Each piece is designed in France and made in small batches by a family-run factory in Sri Lanka, where solar energy partially powers production.

This best in show win, puts Sue Ure Maison on the same page as other winners for instance Natuzzi, Bosch and Maserati.

“I aim to design pieces that feel good to use and that sit quietly but confidently on a table,” said Sue Ure, founder of Sue Ure Maison. “This award is a fantastic acknowledgement of that approach, and it’s very much appreciated.”

The capsule collection includes mugs, jugs, bowls, and the brand’s recent mini shallow bowl, a versatile piece that can also be used as a saucer or small plate. All items are slip cast in porcelain and finished with care, focusing on durability and design integrity.

Sue Ure Maison exhibited at the Home InStyle trade fair as part of the UK Pavilion, curated by the British Allied Trades Federation (BATF) for the Department of Trade and Industry. The event brought together a selection of eleven British design-led brands at one of the world’s largest trade fairs, a major sourcing event for home, gifts and lifestyle.
