International Women's Day - Letterbox Love

Continuing our International Women's Day series, we catch-up with Kerry Bilson, founder of Letterbox Love. Kerry reflects on her journey as a female founder and her mission to help other women feel seen, supported and celebrated.
Letterbox Love began almost six years ago, during lockdown at a time when the world felt uncertain and heavy. What started as a small idea from our kitchen table has grown into an award winning jewellery gifting brand. Every bracelet begins with a poem I’ve written myself. Words have always mattered to me. For years (before Letterbox Love), when I blew out my birthday candles, my only wish was simply to feel happy. I didn’t realise then that one day I’d build a business centred around helping other women feel seen, supported and celebrated!
Building a business as a female founder hasn’t been without challenges. I still create and post on social media daily myself. I answer customer messages, manage a small team, develop new products and write every poem. There have been moments of doubt, financial pressure and navigating growth without a big team behind us. But there have also been milestones I’m incredibly proud of: national press features, thousands of five star reviews, and watching customers return time and time again to gift kindness to others.
2026 feels like a pivotal year for us. There are things I’ve been quietly manifesting for years that are finally coming to fruition, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead. For now, I’m simply grateful for the journey Letterbox Love has taken me on and, more importantly, what it has taught me about resilience, belief and myself.
