The Giftware Association is proud to announce the Autumn programme of our ‘Meet the Buyer’ events.  Those who have attended before will know that, at each event, buyers from a major national retailer will be devoting time to meet Giftware Association members exclusively.  You will have a display table and guaranteed face to face time with buyers for up to 20 minutes.  This is a golden opportunity which is not to be missed.  See below for details of FIVE  ‘Meet the Buyer’ events coming up where we are presenting you with the opportunity to meet Buyers from The National Gallery, F Hinds, Moonpig, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, John Lewis  & Ocado.  We know that our wonderful members will present them with a fantastic array of products that will excite them. Our first event in ‘Meet The Buyer‘ month will put you in front of the prestigious The National Gallery and independent shop Bonkers.  The National Gallery is one of the UK's most popular tourist attractions with millions of visitors passing through it each year. With a destination gift shop enhancing the customer's experience, the Gallery prioritises identifying new designers, homeware, jewellery and bespoke makers. Bonkers is a famous Scottish independent gift shop now in two locations in St Andrews and Edinburgh, run by former GA National Committee member

Lindsey Adams, who is looking for eco-friendly gifts, personal accessories and ceramics.


This event will have a jewellery focus as we welcome a buyer from F.HINDS The Jewellers, a household and high street name with over 115 stores and 162 years’ experience.  They know their jewellery and they know what appeals to their customers. They are looking for new and exciting design-led ladies and gents jewellery items plus special occasion gifts such christenings,  weddings and anniversaries.


We are excited to announce we will be working with innovative online card supplier Starting out in 2000, they pride themselves on having over 100 million moments where people have bought cards and sent them through their easy to use service. 2018 sees them branching out into more giftware to reflect their company motto, “We’re all about making people’s days brilliant”. They are looking specifically for alcohol, soft toys, beauty and food gifting.

OCTOBER 18 2018

We are again working with the Shakespeare’s Birthplace Trust. The Trust is the independent charity that cares for the world’s greatest Shakespeare heritage sites in Stratford-upon-Avon.  They will be looking for Shakespeare related, bespoke products, food gifts, children’s gifts and licensing opportunities.

NOVEMBER 29 2018

Our last event of the year is with two huge household names, John Lewis and Ocado.  They will each be bringing two buyers  who will be looking for innovative gift ideas to stock in John Lewis’s 50  UK stores and to feature in Ocado’s massive online retail presence. The John Lewis buyers are looking for stationery, time planners, gift-wrap and partyware, and gifts and candles. The Ocado buyers are on the lookout for beauty and gifting.
