eatsleepdoodle and Beth’s Sunflowers collaborate to create special new colour-in pencil case with exciting grow-at-home twist

eatsleepdoodle have created a brand new gift to raise money for the wonderful charity, Beth’s Sunflowers. Their new colour-in & grow sunflower pencil case features a garden with sunflowers, plants and more for kids to colour in and explore.

This creative new double-sided pencil case comes complete with a set of 10 super wash-out fabric pens and inside you’ll find a packet of sunflower seeds to sow and grow at home. And in support of the charity, eatsleepdoodle are donating £5 from every sale of the pencil case directly to Beth’s Sunflowers. This contributes to funding leukaemia and blood cancer research and supports current patients undergoing treatment by providing them with respite breaks.

“Our partnership with eatsleepdoodle and these pencil cases holds a special significance for us. Beth, who was training to be a primary school teacher at university when she was diagnosed, inspires this product aimed at younger children, creating a meaningful legacy in her honour” comments Andrea, Beth’s mum and Founder of Beth’s Sunflowers. “Everyone loves sunflowers, and everyone enjoys colouring, so this wonderful project, which also allows each child to receive a packet of sunflower seeds to grow at home, serves as a tremendous force for good.”

Beth’s Sunflowers was founded by Andrea Childs, Beth’s Mum, to raise funds to help find a cure to blood cancers, support blood cancer patients undergoing treatment and keep Beth’s legacy alive. Beth was a champion fundraiser and she spent her life helping others. After losing Beth, Andrea, her family and friends felt strongly that they needed to carry on her work in fundraising as her legacy.

After Beth sadly lost her battle with Leukaemia, another patient’s mum grew some sunflowers as a tribute to all the young people who had fought but tragically lost their battles with cancer. Those first sunflowers were grown and harvested and from those original flowers, the team now produce thousands of seeds each year – including the seeds that come complete with each pencil case. By planting these seeds, the cycle keeps going! To learn more about Beth’s Sunflowers, visit www.bethssunflowers.co.uk.

“When we first met with Andrea, we knew this project was something we immediately wanted to get involved with” said Jess Pickford, eatsleepdoodle’s Commercial Manager. She adds “the charity is doing amazing work and hearing their story from Andrea herself was truly inspiring. We are so pleased to be working with Beth’s Sunflowers and helping to raise money for such a worthwhile cause.”

eatsleepdoodle’s colour-in & grow sunflower pencil case is now available in the UK and can be found on their website www.eatsleepdoodle.co.uk.
