Sebnini and Talking Tables Achieve The King’s Awards for Enterprise 2023

 The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious awards for businesses, recognising and celebrating business excellence across the UK. The recipients of the awards demonstrate outstanding success in their respective fields of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity (through social mobility).

Two of our members recently achieved this incredible accolade: Sebnini and Talking Tables, and our CEO was fortunate enough to be able to share in the celebrations with them. Both companies received a Grant of Appointment and can display the award emblem for up to 5 years, and access to a thriving alumni network of previous award recipients!

Claire Harris, Founder of Talking Tables, said: It was a very special day to be invited to Buckingham Palace to celebrate and acknowledge the The King's Awards for Enterprise. Only myself could go in, but of course it was a huge team effort, and I was chuffed to have Mark McCormack and my colleagues at the Palace Railings for a bit of shared fun and to be part of the moment. Everyone has directly supported our international trade with led to this award so well done to the full team and thank you to our international customers who have worked with us across Europe, USA, Australia and more.”

Many of you will know Gert Schyberg, Founder of Sebnini. Gert has been on the National Committee for the Giftware Association for 12 years now, recently stepping down as Chair. Speaking of his achievement, Gert said, “It gives me great pleasure to announce that Sebnini has been awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2023 and will be receiving the award at Buckingham Palace.

“The King’s Award is given to a very small selection of companies for their outstanding service and achievement within innovation, international trade, sustainable development & promoting opportunity. This is a huge honour for our business, and we are delighted to announce that Sebnini will now be able to carry the royal emblem on our products and marketing materials and to fly the royal flag at our head office. 

“We never could have imagined that we would be in this position and as a family-run business it means a huge amount to us. We therefore wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved in Sebnini over the years.
